Homemade waffles with honey

One of my absolute fave breakfasts. Waffles! Add cup of coffee, morning newspaper and voila! what a beautiful morning!

Homemade waffles with honey


320 g plain flour, sifted
4 tbs unsalted butter, melted
2 tsp baking powder
2 egg, separated
250-280 ml cup of milk
pinch or two of salt
oil or cooking spray
clear honey

Sift flour, add salt and baking powder. Beat egg yolks and add milk and butter. Add flour, about a half at a time, mixing well after each addition. Beat until a smooth mixture is obtained. Then beat egg whites till lightly stiff and add to the mixture. Cook as indicated in your waffle maker’s manual, until golden brown. Serve hot with honey.
